REVITALISASI POSYANDU MELALUI PROGRAM KEWIRAUSAHAAN UNTUK MENDUKUNG SDGs DESA TANPA KEMISKINAN DI DESA AMBANGAH KALIMANTAN BARAT

Abstract

Background: Poverty and maternal and child health problems remain major challenges in rural community development, including in Ambangah Village, Kubu Raya Regency, West Kalimantan. Posyandu as a community-based health service has not been optimally utilized as a means of family economic empowerment. Objective: This community service activity aimed to revitalize the function of Posyandu through an entrepreneurship program to support the achievement of the SDGs Village Without Poverty. Methods: The implementation of the activity used a community empowerment approach through several stages, including socialization, maternal and child health education, entrepreneurship training, practice in producing local food-based products, and community assistance. The targets of the activity included Posyandu cadres, pregnant women, mothers with toddlers, and productive-age women in Ambangah Village. Results: The results of the activity showed an increase in participants’ knowledge regarding maternal and child health, family nutrition fulfillment, and stunting prevention. In addition, participants gained entrepreneurial skills through training in healthy product processing, product packaging, and simple marketing strategies. Posyandu, which previously only functioned as a routine health service center, began to develop into a center for education and community economic empowerment. This activity also encouraged the formation of simple business groups that have the potential to increase family income. Conclusion: The entrepreneurship-based Posyandu revitalization program proved to increase community participation in health activities and productive economic activities. The integration of health services and economic empowerment became an effective strategy in supporting community welfare improvement and achieving the SDGs Village Without Poverty in Ambangah Village, Kubu Raya Regency.
