PENGARUH PENYULUHAN KESEHATAN REPRODUKSI MELALUI AUDIO VISUAL PADA REMAJA SMA NEGERI 2 PONTIANAK TAHUN 2022

Abstract

Background: Adolescence (Adolsen) is a transition period from children to adults. During this period various changes occur, including hormonal, physical, psychological and social changes. These changes occur very quickly and sometimes without us realizing it. World Health Organization (WHO) survey in 2014, the adolescent age group (10-19 years), adolescents are the age most vulnerable to experiencing reproductive health problems such as early pregnancy, unsafe abortion, Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) including Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), sexual harassment and rape. According to 2014 World Health Statistics (WHO) data, it shows that the incidence of teenage pregnancy in the world among women aged 15 to 19 years is 49 per 1,000 women. The incidence of teenage pregnancy in Indonesia is 48 per 1,000 women. The incidence of teenage pregnancy in Indonesia is relatively high compared to 6 in Malaysia and 41 in Thailand (World Bank Group). The importance of knowledge about reproductive health is very much needed by the community, especially the teenage population. Objective: To improve adolescent health, it is necessary to provide health education through Audio Visual to adolescents at SMA Negeri 2 Pontianak. The method used in implementing community service activities is by using health education methods for students at SMA Negeri 2 Pontianak. Based on the results of counseling on community service carried out by researchers for 32 students regarding reproductive health, there is a small percentage that the students' knowledge is categorized as good through audio-visual
