Abstract

Stunting is a global nutritional problem that requires multisectoral treatment and is a shared responsibility, starting from medical management to providing nutrition. The incidence of stunting in Madu Sari Village, based on research results, is influenced by inadequate nutritional intake because parents follow the wishes of children who refuse to consume the food provided, even if PMT consumption is low. Toddlers prefer to eat fast food or junk food such as sausages, pentol, family income which is below the minimum wage is also a problem for mothers to provide nutritious food for the family. The important thing in preventing stunting is improving diet (nutrition). One other intervention that can be carried out for the nutritional needs of toddlers is by providing additional food that is innovative and interesting but which fulfills almost the same important substances as milk, namely Moringa leaves which contain carbohydrates, protein, iron, calcium, Vitamin C, Vitamin A and high potassium. This education on providing additional food begins with health education about proper nutrition, the use of local food ingredients as additional food and an explanation about the consumption of PMT for toddlers in the form of biscuits or milk. The implementation of this PkM involves health workers (midwives), cadres and mothers of stunted toddlers.
