Abstract

The partnership between midwives and shamans is a form of collaboration between midwives and shamans that is mutually beneficial with the principles of mutual openness, equality and trust in an effort to save mothers and babies, by placing midwives as birth attendants and changing the function of dukuns from birth attendants to partners in caring for mothers. and babies during the postpartum period, based on an agreement that has been made between the midwife and the shaman, and maternal and child health is a fundamental aspect in the development of a nation. Maternal and child health problems are one of the main problems. in the health sector which is currently occurring in Indonesia. Every three minutes, somewhere in Indonesia, a child under the age of five dies. In addition, every hour a woman dies from. childbirth or causes related to pregnancy (UNICEF, 2012). The aim of this community service is to increase TBAs' partners with health workers and increase the knowledge of TBAs about the importance of TBAs partners with health workers as well as increase pregnancy and delivery checks for health workers. The method used in implementing community service activities is using the acceleration program method of partnership between TBAs with health and health education to reduce MMR & IMR in Madu Sari Village, Sungai Raya District. The results of the partnership between birth attendants and health workers found that there were still 3 shamans who helped with childbirth and carried out pregnancy checks even though they had signed a collaboration on the grounds that the patient insisted on being examined and assisted in giving birth
